In a city of 600,000 inhabitants, Rotterdam is the second largest city in the Netherlands full of lively atmosphere and international students all over town. There are different universities in Rotterdam, both in terms of research university and applied sciences university.

  • Erasmus University Rotterdam

Erasmus University Rotterdam, is a research university with programmes ranging from Economics, Psychology, Arts & Culture, and various masters and PhD subjects. Erasmus has multiple campuses, such as Campus Woudestein, which is located not far from the city centre; Erasmus University College located in the city centre; Erasmus MC, which is the academic hospital, as well as Erasmus Centre of Entrepreneurship and International Institute of Social Sciences (ISS) which is located in Den Haag.

  •  Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences

Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences offers different programmes in multiple campuses across the city of Rotterdam. They implement practice-based education. The different schools of RUAS includes Rotterdam Business School (RBS), Rotterdam Mainport Institute, School of Built Environment, and many more. The different campuses of RUAS is spread across the city, reachable with the same metro line. Campuses of RUAS includes the Kralingse Zoom campus, Wijnhaven campus, and Blaak campus – however, there are many other campuses as well.

Codarts University of the Arts is a vocational university that specialises in music, dance, and circus. Their campus is strategically located in the middle of the city, namely Kruisplein.
